So much exciting news today, and we’re not talking about Apple’s Ping service or the new iPods. Today, we’relaunching our Boxcar beta with the new Twitter Site Stream API!

Remember the new Site Streams are in beta at Twitter and here at Boxcar, so there may be some issues. Don’t worry though! We’ve got you covered. We’ll be closely monitoring everything to make sure we get you your @ Replies, RTs, DMs, and Favorites as quickly as possible.

“Whoa….Favorites?” - That’s right folks! With the new Site Stream beta launch, we’re adding some new services one of which is the ability to get notified whenever someone favorites your tweets. We like to know when we say something cool, we think you guys want to know too. :)

The service is turned on automatically, and the settings to toggle them on/off will be in our next app release. Along with sending Favorites, we’re speeding up Direct Messages. No more polling for DMs! Woohoo!
